I am committed to teaching and encouraging others to cultivate rock-solid faith through the on-going pursuit of an authentic relationship with the Living God by the following means:

  • Continual engagement with Scripture for the purpose of ongoing application and growth.
  • Practicing life-changing prayer
  • Practicing genuine community
  • Identifying and attacking spiritual strongholds with truth
  • Discovering our God-given purpose and gifting
  • Impacting our world through serving others

My prayer is that you will join me on this exciting adventure where our deepest longings are satisfied in Christ, strongholds crumble under the onslaught of truth, and we are infused with holy power as we practice dwelling with Him so that we can impact our broken world with truth and grace.

My Core Beliefs
My belief about God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one Being.
Genesis 1:126273:22Psalms 90:2Matthew 28:191 Pet. 1:22 Corinthians 13:14

My belief about Jesus
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:2223Is. 9:6John 1:1-514:10-30Hebrews 4:14151 Corinthians 15:34Romans 1:34Acts 1:9-111 Timothy 6:1415Titus 2:13

My belief about the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when he/she is saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.
2 Corinthians 3:17John 16:7-1314:16,17Acts 1:81 Corinthians 2:123:16Ephesians 1:13Galatians 5:25Ephesians 5:18

My belief about Salvation
Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his/her life by faith.
Romans 6:23Ephesians 2:8,9John 14:61:12Titus 3:5Galatians 3:26Romans 5:1

My belief about the Church
The Church is the Body of Christ in the world today. Every member has special abilities (spiritual gifts) in which to serve the body. The local church is an autonomous local body of baptized believers that are under the Lordship of Christ with Jesus at the head. The purpose of our church is to connect people with God and others. This means to connect people with God in worship and a personal relationship of salvation. It also means to connect people in discipleship, fellowship and service. The New Testament refers to the Body of Christ, which includes all believers of all the ages.

My belief about Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
The New Testament practice of baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is a symbol of obedience to Christ’s command and symbolizes the believer’s faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Baptism is a requirement of church membership and always follows a personal commitment of faith in Jesus as Savior.

The Lord’s Supper is an act of worship that is symbolic and in remembrance of the death of Jesus Christ.

My belief about the Bible
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.
